The Marriott Horizon Award recognizes the best of the best in hotel management companies that partner with Marriott and is given to companies that embody Marriott’s spirit to serve philosophy, focus on associates to create a well-managed and engaged workforce, and provide outstanding customer service.

Raines Hospitality was awarded the Marriott Horizon Award at the Gaylord Palms Resort and Convention Center in Kissimmee, FL. on Dec. 10. The award was presented by Adam Sherer, VP Franchising for Marriott during the awards ceremony in front of 1,200 franchisees and Marriott associates

Criteria for the Horizon Award:

• Have at least 3 SS/ES open franchise hotels, but under 10 with at least one active development project between January 2014 -June 2015
• Have at least 2 of the 6 brands
• Portfolio’s Guest Tracking is in clear and/or green
• Have no red or yellow zone hotels
• Must be in financial good standing with Marriott
• Relevant major initiative Compliance

• Contributed in a significant way to growing Marriott’s brands
• Marriott brands are 1st choice for their development
• Embody the spirit of Marriott International’s Philosophy of “Take Care of the Associate and the Associate will take care of the Guest”
